The LEVITY Program  Inside the LEVITY Program

The Three Elements of the LEVITY Program TM

The three elements of the LEVITY are light, exercise and vitamins (LEVITY Program = Light, Exercise, and Vitamin Intervention TherapY). The program is an all-natural regimen that is a safe, easy and effective treatment for the "Body Blues".

(1) Light - Getting more very bright light during the day, but less at night.

Many people are surprised to learn that light exposure can have an impact on their mood. They may also be surprised to learn how little light is available indoors, even on sunny days. Author Dr. Marie-Annette Brown says, "Research shows that bright light alone can relieve many of the symptoms of the Body Blues, including overeating, carbohydrate cravings, fatigue, and low mood. It can even help women lose weight. Sunlight happens to be our brightest and most economical source of bright light. Spending an extra hour a day outdoors is as effective at relieving the Body Blues as sitting in front of a $300 artificial light box."

(2) Exercise - Going for a brisk outdoor walk, 20 minutes a day, five days a week.

The exercise recommended in the LEVITY Program doesn't have to strenous. Dr. Brown states, "The ideal mood-enhancing exercise is moderate-intensity outdoor exercise. More strenuous exercise can be too taxing, creating what researchers call 'tense arousal' instead of 'energetic arousal'. When you exercise outdoors, you get the added benefit of bright natural light, doubling the antidepressant effect."

(3) Vitamins - Taking a specific combination and dosage of 6 vitamins every day.

The mood elevating formula used in the LEVITY Program consists of three key B vitamins, folic acid, selenium and vitamin D. Each of these ingredients has been found to relieve some symptoms of the Body Blues. Together, they create a comprehensive antidepressant cocktail.
